My name is Sheila Jansonius and I am the K-6 counselor at Oberlin Elementary School. I grew up on a farm north of Kensington, KS. My love for children and the positive influence of several teachers, helped me decide to go into education. I attended Fort Hays State University and began my first job at Oberlin, teaching Kindergarten. I learned a lot from those students, and they all still have a special place in my heart. After three years, I realized that my true passion was to work with kids on a deeper, personal basis. I received my MS in counseling from FHSU. I have been the counselor for 30 years and in education for 33 years. I also help with the Title program.
I am married to Ron, and we have adult twin daughters, Morgan and Molly. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I also enjoy music, walking, and flower gardening.
